Cancel Linger Premium Through the Google Account That Paid

Match a Linger Premium purchase to the correct Google Account, stop renewal in Google Play and keep payment management separate from chat deletion.

To stop a Google Play Linger Premium renewal, manage the subscription in the Google Account that made the purchase. Uninstalling the app or deleting a conversation does not cancel a store subscription. Keep the cancellation confirmation and check the date through which access remains available.

This guide covers MindCraftAI Apps’ Linger Android product. The developer’s terms direct subscription management to Google Play. We have not purchased or cancelled an account; the steps are based on current Google documentation and the developer’s published billing explanation.

Match the purchase before touching the chat

Start with the store receipt or subscription record. Confirm the app name, purchasing account, billing interval and next renewal date. Do not publish the receipt or send an unredacted screenshot to an unrelated website.

If your phone has several Google Accounts, the one currently visible in the app is not necessarily the one that paid. A missing subscription can be an account mismatch rather than evidence that no renewal exists.

Also identify the kind of purchase. A recurring Premium subscription and an optional one-time gift are different items. Cancelling one subscription does not rewrite the history of every digital purchase associated with the app.

Use Google Play’s subscription record

Google’s current Android instructions are to open subscriptions in Google Play, select the subscription, choose cancellation and follow the confirmation flow. Use the store’s record for the purchasing account rather than a guessed button inside a third-party guide.

The practical sequence is:

  1. Open Google Play’s subscription management for the account that paid.
  2. Find the Linger subscription and check that its interval and renewal match the receipt.
  3. Choose the cancellation option and complete the prompts.
  4. Read the resulting state and access-end date.
  5. Keep the confirmation privately.

Do not stop at the first cancellation button if the store still asks for confirmation. Equally, do not keep pressing options once the record clearly shows the intended cancellation result.

The developer says to cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Avoid leaving the task until the last minute; use the actual date and time information shown by the store.

Know what cancellation normally changes

For an ordinary recurring subscription, Google says cancellation stops a future renewal while access generally continues for the period already paid. The store record is the place to confirm the end date for your purchase.

Cancellation is not the same as a refund request. If the reason for leaving is a charge you want reviewed, use Google Play’s applicable refund process and preserve the relevant receipt. The developer’s terms say Google Play handles refunds and provide a support contact for exceptional billing issues.

Do not infer a guaranteed refund from a successful cancellation. Eligibility depends on the actual purchase and the applicable rules. Likewise, if your record describes a payment plan or another unusual arrangement, read the terms for that arrangement rather than assuming it behaves like a simple monthly renewal.

If Linger is missing from the list

Check the Google Account on the receipt against the account currently selected in Google Play. Then inspect the active and cancelled subscription records available to that account.

If you still cannot match the charge, use the store’s official help rather than buying another subscription to test whether access returns. A second purchase can complicate the original problem.

Prepare a concise support note: app and developer, approximate purchase time, the type of problem and what the store currently shows. Provide an order reference only through the official process when needed. Never include a password, verification code or full payment-card details.

Handle history and account data afterwards

Once the payment task is resolved, decide what you want to do with conversation history. You may want to keep a small export, reset a conversation or request account deletion. Those are separate decisions with different effects.

Do not delete useful account access before saving the payment confirmation you need. Do not treat an app’s account-deletion message as a substitute for the Google Play subscription state.

Use the history decision guide if you want a fresh start or removal of records. A clean finish is one you can explain plainly: the renewal is stopped, its confirmation is saved, and any remaining data action has been considered separately.

Sources and scope

Checked October 29, 2026: MindcraftAI Linger terms and Google Play: cancel, pause or change a subscription. No payment, cancellation, refund or account deletion was performed for this article. Store screens and purchase-specific conditions take precedence over a generic example.
